Has anyone split a moss ball ?

I have two moss balls on their way and am wondering if anyone has split them and how long until the cuts go round?

I don’t think they become round by themselves. Our aquarium currents can’t mimic how they grow in the wild. When I divided mine, I tied each half back into a ball with thin fishing line.

Yup, reshaping into a ball either by tying it back together, or doing the rotation method is the way to go. Have fun with that clado algae ball!
