My son hatched them out a couple times. they're cool.

my kids do them every year. we love them. they only last a short time but we got ours to last a few months. I also do water changes on there tank like I do with fish, we also put an air stone in there tank. we use a 5 gallon tank for them and add some gravel and some plants. there cute and my kids love them./ when I do water changes on there little tank I just take out water, then add fresh tank water from my 55. they do real well this way.

you can just use a conner filter if you like.i not sure of the latin name but you can it just about anywhere online including google

there is suppose to be a food that you feed when you get the eggs but i got mine from a online forum so i didn't get any food with mine.When there adults you can feed algae wafers but when there babies they will only eat micro organisms.so i just tossed a couple plants in for them to pick off of
