Has anyone used imagitarium black sand

I'm wondering if this changes Ph in the water. There are mix reviews about it. I'm still anyways going to check my Ph but I"m wondering what you guys think.

I cannot say what this may do to pH. But I will not use any product int eh Imagitarium line. This is a personal preference, you wi;; have to make your own decision.
Imagutarium of the corporate name fpr the products sold at Petco,amng a few other sites. where I do not shop except for tanks during their tank sales.

I wouldn't expect it to change your pH, but we don't know your source water chemistry.

I have used black sand in the past. It was from either petco or petsmart. No issues with it other than destroying the impellers on my aquaclear filters, even with prefilters on them. I got away from using sand as time went on. I prefer very fine gravel substrates.
