What are the water peramters for this cichlid.i have ran across info stating that its brackish water.and what are its eating habits.also waht is its temperment like. compared to a midas for instance.

i have heard that they can be very aggressive but have also heard that they are tempermental, i guess it just depends on the fish, but seems to be aggressive by nature.

They're about as tempermental as an umbie. Almost always super nasty. IMO definately a contender for one of the most aggressive cichlids out there. Females are even worse than males (who are already pretty damn violent). THey can get 16 inches, possibly more. Brackish water should be used, as pure freshwater can lead to several health complications in the long run.
