Hello Everyone...

Hi there everyone, I would like to say that I have been visiting this site since the beginning of the year, and I am thankful to have found it. Your staff here and the members have such a wealth of information, it is just great. :headbang2:

As a newbie, I was quickly been bitten by the bug of fish keeping, and it has been very therapeutic also. I have to say that there have been many trials and errors, but I have come a long way in just the last few months.

I have a 20G Long right now with 5 yoyo loaches, 5 hillstream loaches, 1 lizard catfish, and 2 candy-stripe pl*cos. My tank has a lot of driftwood (5 large pieces), a lot of java fern (stapled down with SS staples), several pieces of natural slate tile up against the back wall (background), and 2"-3" natural color gravel mixed with Flourite. As the fish are all so small, they have gotten along quite well.

Filtration is handled by using an AC50 PH connected to 1/2" pvc run under the substrate across the tank to a foam pond filter, as well as an AC50 and an AC110 HOB. This creates a decent internal flow and a good amount of aeration for these little guys, almost like a waterfall inside. Finally found a good combination.

I will try to get a least 1 pic posted soon.

My next project currently in progress, is to move these guys to a 60G I am trying to get set right now. This unit will be using 2 AC802 PH with 3/4" pvc run to 2 foam pond filters, as well as at least 1 if not 2 AC110 HOBs. I am trying to duplicate the 'river tank' design.

Between work and trying to get my career going, this has helped to keep me focused, and I have no regrets about how much time and money I have put into this.

I am looking forward to exchanging/sharing information here with all of the great people here.

:)
