Lots of ciclids to chose from, Africans...3 different main lakes, South American, Central American, New World..
None of them terribly hard to keep, but have different requirements for tank size, decor, food, male/female ratio. I think you will need to narrow things down a bit for good advice.

Cichlids are beautiful so many different colours and species to choose from! I am not sure what I will put in my tank. I was considering cichlids but I heard they are very hard on live plants.
