Hello;

Hopefully, you all are doing fine during these pandemic situation.

I am Phantom (Using this nick in games & forums for last 20 years).

I had been keeping cats, parrots, pigeons and rabbits for last 25 years with great success in terms of their breading & longevity.

Now the main thing:

Also, tried to keep fish in aquarium too. But was able to keep goldfish (oranda & blackmoore) only and that too in a simple gravel tank with canister filter. Later, had to quit it as the tank leaked & i got busy with wife & kids.

Now, after 05 years, trying once again to setup a nice tank for my kids. To get some knowledge, was looking on different ideas when i stumbled upon this forum. It seems to be nice, informative & members are helpful.

Therefore, just joined here to learn from you guys & able to prepare a nice tank for my kids & fish.

Welcome on the forum Phantom. From all the fish available, goldfish are one of the worst fish to start out with. They are great for ponds though. Read this for more information: http://injaf.org/aquarium-fish/the-goldfish-section/what-size-tank-for-goldfish/

Start with the size of the tank, fish don't adapt to the size of the tank. Then the temperature requirements heated/unheated, and compatibility of the fish. Also check the pH and GH of your water... considering all of this will give you a nice low maintenance tank.
