I've tried feeding the fish in a container and trapping them. I've caught all my other fish this way except for the firefish. It will not go into the container at all.

Tried an inverted soda bottle too but will not fall for the trick.

Any ideas?

put a net in the tank with the handle stcking out the top of the water if possible so that he gets used to it being in there. When he goes near it grab the net and swoop him up towards the glass at the top. This works as I have used it, but it may need practice :)

ive got loads of LR in my tank... netting isnt really easy.. im pulling it all out now though, along wiht the corals that are on it... gonna gtry n scoop him up wiht all the rocks out... will post a reply wen im dun!

A little late post, but here it goes. Whenever I have a hard time catching a fish I stop feeding it for a few days, then I use a fishing pole with a very small hook and I press the barb down so as not to hurt the fish anymore then I have to. a little shrimp for bait and "Wha la" , one caught fish. I hope this helps.

thanks for the advice guys! i pulled out all my rocks and got a frend to net him!
thanks again tho!
