HELP: Catfish floating upright

I just notice one of my catfish just swimming in place, but upright with his heads towards the top and tail pointing stright to the bottom...i dont see any signs of sickness...What could it be?

What speicies of catfish is it? Some catfish can do all sorts of strange things.

It was a whitetip..

It died...and i know why..i think

My Theory
I have a glass canopy and eveytime i do a water change, i clean BOATH sides with windex...and water would splash up to the glass and all and i guess wash it and drip down with windex in it...

I know this cause of when i checked the filters, the tip of my sponges had oil colored water floating, and there was white and blueish dryed up stuff on the top of the sponge where water dosnt touch it...

never use windex just use vinegar and water solution.

I wouldn't call this a theory. I would call this the definite cause. WINDEX IS POISON. NEVER clean any part of your aquarium with Windex. The only thing you should use on it are products or chemicals that are fish safe.

You're lucky you only lost 1 fish.
