I am looking for a plant to provide some fairly thick ground cover and i was hoping for something grass-like in appearance. It is a 55 gallon with some barbs (like to eat plants) and a bichir. The gravel is pea sized for the most part with some river rock thrown in intermittently. Right now I have 2 48" bulbs at 34 watts each (can be changed if needed). So basically what I would like is something that grows and spreads quickly (very quickly if possible) and will completely cover the bottom of the tank. Being low maintenance would be a huge plus too. Anything like that exist?

The easiest one I've tried is dwarf sag. There's a list of foreground plants on Plantgeek. If any of them catches your eye, someone will give you their take on it. Your lighting does kind of limit your choices though.
