Help! Don’t know what I did!!!

Someone PLEASE tell me what the hell happened!!!! I did a water change 3 days ago & levels were good. Woke up this morning to almost all my fish dead & others in process. After freaking, checked levels & they are PERFECT!!! I don’t know what I did??? Why would this be? I don’t know what in the world to do???? Water very clear! Please tell me what to do!!! (See pics) Also, none of fish have shown any signs of illness & were doing great!

Water change - are you on well water or municipal?

Have you been doing any work in the house that may have caused dust or fumes (construction, painting, floor refinishing, etc etc)

Are there kids in the house that may have put something into the tank?

Have you added any new decor or anything into the tank?

When you say levels are "perfect", can you provide absolute numbers for all the measurements you took?

That Rasbora in the upper part of the pic looks like it has parasites or has been exposed to something toxic added to the water..

Did the water change include replacing all the filter media? How old is the tank? How much water did you change? And finally...how often do you normally water changes?

don't rule out something by your water utility either,


what do you use to condition the water? and does it handle chlorine or chloramines?
