my goldfish was swimming strangely with its head pointing straight down and i was worried so i took him out of the tank. that was when I noticed a weird thing stuck on the glass.

They are circular and clear, ranging from 1-3mm in diameter and they all have a brownish dot in the center. at first I thought maybe they were some sort of eggs, but the next day, I noticed they had all moved to the top of the water line! I had turned off the filter when I moved my goldfish so I'm assuming they crawled up there for air.

I dont know if they are related to my Goldfish's strange behavior but after I moved him, he calmed down and swam normally.

Anyone know what they could be and what I should do with them? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Possibly baby snails? Added any plants lately?

In general, mobile critters found on the glass are not parasites, and seldom affect the fish. They can be indicative of other problems in the tank that will cause problems--like overfeeding. Check the water parameters, report back, and we'll see if we can figure out what's going on.
