Help ID this tetra, and a Q about glowlites

A small tetra of some kind was accidently bagged with some discus I bought the other day. I put it in my guppy tank to keep it from being eaten because it is quite nice and I might like to have a group of them. I just don't know what it is. It is long and skinny, and has a pumpkin orange stripe from its tummy to its tail. It is not a glowlite. I need to ID this fish so I can read up on it.

Speaking of glowlites, do they school strongly? And how big should they get?

then turn the black part orange and the orange part clear, and that is the little fish I have. Also put a smidgeon of black under the wide part of the orange band.

Also could someone please explain the difference between schooling and shoaling?
 
Schooling is when all the fish are together and pointing/swimming in the same direction. Schoaling is when all the fish are together but in a less organized group.

I don't know what kind of tetra that is. Check the store and see if they have any more of them in any of the tanks. If not then try to get some pics of it and post them.
 
Glowlites I had would go wherever they wanted without regard as to where the others where.
 
Unless you have a very large tank and very large numbers of one fish - most (when comfortable in their home) will not school/shoal. Even the most "schoolish" fish will not school when they're happy. Of course, they'll school sometimes, though. I love my glowlights:D
