I cant remember what type of fish this is....rookie:help:

Also does that appear to be fin rot or is it natural for this species. (The yellow greenish fins)

I would guess juvinile red-eyed tetra....how big is it?
Not sure about the fins...

Its about 1.5" and twice the girth of of a full grown neon.... Do red eyes get this tall? I thought they were more slender like a neon or a rummynose...??

its a lemon tetra. all of its colors are natural for lemon tetras, and they look very good acctually. does he have any buddies in the tank with him? just wondering, what size tank is he in and what other fish are in the tank?

BTW, fin rot looks just like it sounds. the fins rot away leaving the little rays exposed.

I agree, I think it's a lemon tetra.

yeah my 1st guess would be lemon tetra, if not some ill colored maybe red eyed tetra?

Its a 33 Gal tank. Theres 6 neons, 2 Lemons. Ive neglected the tank in the past and have started to take proper care for things and try to educate myself on proper aquarism =p. I believe Im dealing with a fungus issue or something. Ive just recently flushed my gravel(with the fish out of the tank) and may have sterred up un wanted waist into the system. I have been proforming water changes every couple days for the past 2 weeks since the flush trying to get things right. Now Ive also had 3 casualties since the flush and am now paranoid for the rest of the fish....

just keep up with the water changes. do you hvae a yest kit? if not, you should get one. it will make life easier.

after your water qualitiy is sorted out, you will be able to move from daily water changes to weekly 25% water changes.

once your tank is settled, you can get some more lemons. they look awsome in large schools.
