Would someone tell me how to post a pic. I just got a little guy from the pet store that I need help identifying. The guy at Petco told me that he was a Blue Shrimp. I "googled" some pics though, and none of the blue shrimp seem to look like him. Is he really a crawfish or what. Regardless he's pretty cool. When I put him in one of my Plecos had just died. The next day all that was left was a little fish skull under the driftwood. Also, I'd appreciate some advice on feeding him. Is he o.k. on just what makes it to the bottom?

Well assuming you have a scanner or a digital camera you can host pictures at photo bucket. I'm on my laptop at the moment so I don't have the link but I think it's Photobucket.com . Pretty easy sight to use for photo sharing and 100% free. I've seen blue lobsters at Petco but I've never seen shrimp there. My best fish store in my area happens to be a WELL run petco so I'm there often. You said crawfish so I'm assuming you have doubts weather it's a shrimp. I can't find anything on blue lobsters as I've seen them at Petco but it may be a starting place for you. The ones I've seen were like large crawdads in freshwater... Hope that helps.

Thanks Neo. Here is a pic. Can you guys tell? He does have a slightly blue tint, but I wouldn't say it's very dark.

"blue crawfish" from GIS. They're usually called blue crayfish or blue lobsters at LFS. Probably what you got... There is a significant phylogenetic gap between shrimps and lobsters, and that doesn't look much like a shrimp to me.

Blue crayfish, scavenger mostly carnivouous, will eat any fish that let it. will fight any additional crayfish. aggressive
