I have a Red Ramshorn Snail on the way and I was wondering if you have to do the same with snails as fish, so they get used to the water temperature? Do you float them in the bag in the water or can you just put them straight in? Please help, thanks!

Snails aren't as sensitive as fish, I just drop 'em right into the tank when they arrive as long as the water in the tank isn't colder than the bag water.

I would acclimate at least a little bit... Floating the bag seems like the bare minimum. They may not be as sensitive as fish (not sure if that is even true, no offense) but if you are patient, acclimation will increase chances for survival. If you spent money on the snail, why take the risk of not acclimating?
