Looked at my Fluval 2+ Internal this morning, saw the yellow blockage indicator nearly all the way down.

Rinsed it all out in aquarium water, went off to work.

Came back with a new impellar and replaced.

Made no difference.

Separated power head from filter bottom and found that it was still struggling so couldn't be a filter blockage.

Rinsed it all out...

No difference...yellow indicator slowly going to bottom to indicate poor flow....

Is it doomed, should I just go and buy a new one???

Help!!!

I would monitor closely for spikes.

Thanks rbishop, will test daily for time being???

Trying to hold off on my pwcs just now until ich treatment works...but will do pwc as soon as see anything happening to Ammonia and Nitrite...

Thanks for advice....

Thinking about adding an external as well in future.............will start another thread

If you are doing the heat/salt treatment for ich, there isn't any need to hold off on water chnages, provided the replacement water is at the same concentration of salt as the tank. The water changes will not affect your bacteria.
