help light trouble

Hi wounder if you could help me
i am in the process of setting up my marine tank i nearly have everything got round to purchasing the light untits got the controllers but inside my hood of the tank there is nothing to attach them too . it is just a solid wood lid that you can lift off with a lid at the front for feeding !!!!!!!!!!!!
now do i drill into the lid to attach the little clips that came with the controll unit or can i stick em on to the wood
any help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Sounds like you have the same canopy I have. Since you don't mention what kind of lights or controllers or what that you have, I don't think I can help much. I use 48" bulbs in a 48" canopy. I have barely enough room to fit the bulbs into the canopy, so no drilling was needed.
