Can anyone tell me what kind of fish this is?

I bought him a coulpe of years ago as supposedly an African cichlid. When I bought him, he was all blue with verticla broad, tringular shaped dark/black patches.

Then he got sick for a while where he kind of swam funny and seemed off in his ability to manage his floating ability.

I isolated him for like two months, and ultimatley seemed to cure him with adding salt to the water. I had tried all kinds of other stuff accoring to directions from my LFS.

While, and after, healing, he completely changed to this color.

He is very aggressive, to the point that I have to put a divider between him and the other cichlids. He is about 3.5 to 4 inches from tip to tip.

Can anyone help me id him?

Looks like a male Pseudotropheus lombardoi - Kenyi . They start out blue with stripes like the females. They are indeed very aggressive.

I'd say your id help is right on the money. Thanks!
