I got this fish from my local pet shop, he didnt recognise it. i bought it along with 2pairs of green puffer fish. hope, someone can help me identify it and help me know its requirements.

is it just me or does he look aggressive?
that large mouth usually means something lol
i once bought a few fish with no labels. the man had no clue what they were, so i bought them since they were small and very pretty. i found out they were sunfish. they didnt last more than a month. im guessing they were wild cought and loaded with parasites. ive never seen them available again

Its most likely one of the SA or CA cichlid species. Not an Archer, and highly doubt its a young peacock bass. However it also looks similar to Largemouth and smallmouth bass fry. Basically time will tell, you should be able to get some identifying features coming out in the next few months.
