HI THERE FRIENDS , I AM JOY BANERJEE (I AM MALE , AGE 27) FROM INDIA , KOLKATA
I RECENTLY TOOK A CHALLENGE TO SET UP A SALTWATER THEME FRESHWATER TANK, I DECIDED TO GO SMALL FIRST
SO I BUY A NEW TANK , MY TANK SIZE IS 2 FT LONG X 1 FT WIDTH(FRONT TO BACK) X 1.5 FT HIGH, WHICH IS EXACTLY 44.45 GALLON
CAN YOU SUGGEST ME WHAT FISH CAN GO PERFECT WITH THEME AND TANK SIZE ? IF I HAVE A ORIGINAL SALT WATER TANK I PERSONALLY LOVE TO KEEP CLOWN FISH, I JUST LOVE THEM, SO I WILL GLAD IF ANYONE CAN SUGGEST ME A FRESH WATER FISH THAT IS CHEAP BUT BEHAVE LIKE AND LOOKS LIKE SALTWATER CLOWN FISH AND AS WELL AS HARDY, AND ACTIVE ....

1.TANK SIZE , 2. TANK THEME , 3. FRESHWATER SP , 4. CHEAP , 5. ACTIVE, 6. HARDY , 7.EASILY AVAILABLE ANYWHERE IN ANY COUNTRY , 8. MOST IMPORTANTLY IT SHOULD LOOKS AND BEHAVE LIKE SALTWATER CLOWN FISH

THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT, AS YOU KNOW THAT DUE TO MY FINANCIAL PROBLEM I SOLD ALL MY AQUARIUM, SO I POSTPONED ALL MY PROJECTS.
NOW I AM FINANCIAL STABLE A BIT SO I DECIDE TO REFRESH AND RESTART MY HOBBY AGAIN SO IT IS MY FIRST PROJECT

I am not in to saltwater so I don't know how it behaves, but there is no f/w fish that looks like that.
There are koi platies that are orange white but it's a stretch...

I like TL's suggestion...except for the live bearing thing, get all males if you like those. Maybe some striped kuhli loaches or orange neocaridina shrimp? &/or maybe very small barbs like E. octozonas or 6 banded? Or some rasboras like harlequins, epei or tiny maculata species.
 
yes i so also like tl's suggestion , and yes fishorama your suggestion id aldo good but they are schooling right ? i am afraid to give them good natuaral habitat becouse it is salt water theme all the decor will me artificial coral etc you know .
any other suggestion ? please share and let me know....

Fake coral eh? That might look better with African Mbuna cichlids.

You need to maintain a high pH for them, around 8.2.

There are lots of species and varieties, and some are similar, see what is available in your area first and then check on this forum for species and numbers. Tall tanks aren't great...
 
T L :- yea i right i know, i have it in my mind because i do keep Malawi cichlids , and i have in my other tank,
but i am looking for a fish that can similar to saltwater clown fish (looks and how active they are and how they move in tank i just love them),
if nothing works out i definitely goes for Malawi , with fake corals ..

Your tank is only 22 Gallons so you measured wrong. No Malawi cichlids appropriate for this tank size.
