I need some help. I came home tonight to find my female betta is covered (her whole midsection basically) with white fuzz! My water levels are testing out okay. Is this a fungus? I just recently added the two female bettas (about 4 days ago). Everyone else in the tank appears to be happy and healthy (other female betta, 3 dwarf corycats, 6 ghost shrimp and snail). Is this something that can be cured with heat and salt or do I need to get some meds ASAP?? Thanks for all your help!

If the white fuzz look like cotton ball fuzz, I think it may be fungal problem. I used Pimafix when my red platties had white fuzz around their mouths and I had very successful result. Just follow the direction on the bottle. Good luck.

Well as of this morning she is dead. :( Pretty morbid actually, all that I can find of her is her little head, think the shrimp might have something to do with that. I still need to treat the tank right? I will get some pimafix while in town today. Thanks!!
