HELP my harlequin rasbora is missing!!!

I woke up this morning and went to go see my tank. I was looking at all my fish when I noticed that one of my rasboras is missing! I cant find the body anywhere! Help what do you guys think happened to him/her? I have 5 black skirts and 2 rams that are 2x-3x larger than my rasboras but I cant imagine them eating my small fishies! pls dont tell me one of them ate my rasbora :headshake2:

Are your rams breeding?

If your rasbora died overnight there is a good possibility that the other fish picked at the body. They wouldn't kill it for food though...

how big is the tank?

did you look all through and under the decor for him?

did you look all around the tank?

Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 30-40

My rams are both male I think... and they hate each other with a passion

Tank is 20 g long. I have 6 rasboras but now only 5 and yes I looked for him everywhere

I would do a pwc to get your rates down a little more.......

was the fish a jumper?.. check around the floor area to about a yard radius...

I would check the floor too.

It may be possible that one of your rams took out his anger on the harlie but I doubt that he could catch him...

He also could still be in there. Fish are the masters of hiding. I thought my male German Blue Ram had died and disappeared (jumped out of the tank... whatever). So went out and got a replacement male... I now just had to go out and get some more females... guess who showed up a few days later at feeding time all happy and proud!

Fish love to hide. Look for him and if you don't find him wait a couple of days, he might turn up. Feeding his favorite foods and scattering it around the tank might help.
