I posted this in the catfish forum but it doesn't seem to active. I got a Banjo Cat today and just noticed that it has a small indention on top of it that is kind of grey and fuzzy looking. Is this just an injury or is it a disease that I need to be treating right away?

Thanks

Well, it started out as just a small spot on him, now it is almost completely covered in this dark grey coating. It is kind of like a film on it. It hasnt even been 24 hours yet, i have a feeling i am going to be using the "72 hour policy" that pet depot has for this one.

I would return it, think it's called "grey skin" but I may be mistaken. You can treat it, but if it spread that quickly I'd be concerned.

I was going to wait a few days before i took it back, but i think your right. I dont want to risk it spreading to my other fish. Also, i have noticed there is sort of a strange smell coming from the water. I changed it last weekend. I also have a ammonia sensor from seachem i believe in there and it shows everything fine. Do you think the Banjo cat may be causing this or is it a sign of something wrong?

thanks for the help.
