:help:I've started losing fish from my 50 gal tank one by one. First victim was a loach, then a neon tetra, another loach, florida flag fish, today it was my krib. There doesn't seem to be ANY symptoms. Just fish croaking one by one. No visible parasites, fish don't seem to be acting strangely, just dying. Param's are:

Nitrate 15, nitrite/amm 0 phosphates 1.0. Ph is 7.0 flat.

Any clue at all? I hate to try treating until I know what I am facing. At this rate I'll be starting the tank over from scratch in 2weeks. (when I am out of fish)

Ok, after watching them for a bit, I have noticed one SAE and a swordtail that are flashing a bit. Neither one shows signs of ick however (nor do any of the other fish) Externally all seems normal. No funny scales, stuff sticking out of them, etc. This is the same tank that I recently had a platy that was removed due to dropsy. She never recovered and was extremely pineconed out when I put her down. Never responded to anti bacterial or anti parasitic treatments. So, what make a fish flash, but kills fast enough that the fish shows no outward symptoms besides flashing. Eating normally and acting normally as well.

Water was changed this friday and sunday both. Sunday was when I lost the second fish. I do 50+% water changes and Sunday was more like 75%.

Nope, other than the flashing they act and look perfectly normal. No abnormal look at all. Nothing external wrong that I can see at all. Breathing normal, color, everything is normal.

Just did an 80% water change and added activated carbon to the filter in case it's a toxin/chemical of some sort. I'll take it out if/when I get a better idea of a possible treatment.
