I have two tanks, and I need to reacommodate the fish. Please, read this stocking and give me your suggestions:

====================================================
20 gallon tank
Filter: Whisper Power Filter 20 (rated for 20 gl.)
Water: Ph 7.5 Temp 75ºF NH3, NO2, NO3 = 0

Stock:
1 4.5" Comet goldfish
1 4.5" Butterfly koi
1 2" common pleco
3 1" - 1.5" corydora

This filter has to be cleaned every 3-4 days.

¨===================================================

235 gallon tank
Filter: Custom made 30 gl. wet dry filter w/ 600 gl/hour flow rate
Water: Ph 7.5 Temp 79-80ºF NH3, NO2, NO3 = 0

Stock:
2 6" freswater stingrays
1 8" clown knife
2 3" otos
9 3-4" assorted gouramies
1 4" juvenile bichir
2 5" angels

====================================================
Both tanks are unheated. Both keep that temp at day or night with no heater.

I really need to give the comet and koi a bigger space. Currently, I can not build them a pond. Planning on getting a 50-70 gl. tank next year.

TO GIVE THEM MORE ROOM:
I was thinking I could move the comet and the koi to the 230 gallon, but i'm worried if the temp (though not too different) would be too high for them.

Also, I don't know if the clown knife or the gouramies would be a threat for them.

What would you do conseidering I have nothing else than these two tanks.
HELP

I need a good advice here, since I've been testing a lot of combinations and

buy some plastic crate from local hardware store and divide off a small section for them in that tank if you're worried about aggression from other fish. Also temperature wise didn'y ou say they were kept in same room with no heater? should be same temperature.

Well, considering you have another tank in the future plans, I think I would just move the Pleco to reduce the load on the 20 gallon (even though he is still small), and not worry about it too much til then.

well i have 2 koi in a tank for the winter (couldnt afford a heater) their water is approximately 70-80 degrees depending on the day and they are fine! so dont worry to much about temp

Pataloco,

Do you have a basement or know someone who would let you use their basement? I've heard of many people who winter their koi and pond fish in kiddie pools in the basement. All you'd need is a HOB filter.

I could try the divider.

Temp wise, both tanks are in different rooms of the house. The difference in temp comes from the filter sump pump. Since it's submerged, it coold down in the water and warms it at the same time. I'm wondering if for the hot season I'll need fans to cool down the water.

For a good temp solution try buying a large rubbermaid container for goldfish/koi. Then move some gourami into the 20 gallon for a small community setup. That would allow the goldfish to be less crowded and give them a better chance at growing.
