I've got my tank torn down for a good cleaning. I've got mostly lace rock and texas holey rock. My rock and plants had algae growing on it pretty bad. Only where it was facing up and getting a lot of sun. It was very slimey. I pressure washed the lace rock and wow it that stuff stubborn. I forgot what PSI but it's a big washer. Well not even the pressure washer will touch the algae on the holey rock though. I boiled my plants, not sure if that worked yet though. Thoughts?

Well, I would think boiling your plants would kill them...

I would try dipping the rocks in hydrogen peroxide.

You can get a large tote, put enough water in it to cover the rocks and pour about a cup of bleach in it. After 24 hrs the algae is usually gone. Then rinse well, refill the tote to cover the rocks, add sodium thiosulfate-based dechlorinator and let sit for another day or so.

going to take a guess that the plants are either plastic, or very tender and ready to be served with a butter sauce..

You could put it in a dry, dark place for a little bit. Then try again to scrub it off. Or just flip the rock over.
