Hi, I have had this banana plant for a while now, and the leaves have kept thinning and dying. And now all the leaves are like that. Also my narrow leaf java fern is also starting to do it. Help? I need to id the problem and cure it. Thanks everyone. :welcome:
Yeah, its in my 10 gallon tank, with only a 12 watt bulb. I leave the light on about 6-8 hours a day. I think that may be the problem too, but I'm also looking into buying some fertilizer for it in case. Any suggestions/confirmation?
Yeah. its incandescent, I'm looking to change to fluorescent. Would the cover I currently have work for a fluorescent bulb or would I have to change my cover? Probably get a fluorescent bulb at a hardware store or my lfs. Thanks everyone, very helpful!
12 watts of incandescent over a 10G tank is not even considered low lighting. Ferts won't help you until you get the lighting taken care of. 10G aquariums don't seem to follow the usual watts/gallon rules as larger tanks. Do some research in this forum or ask for some help with lighting.
