help with diatoms

hey guys im looking for some imput i am new to sw and i think im getting some diatom there are spots on my live rock that look brown and spongy if this is diatom i have heard its a normal thing but i wold like to know if there is something that will eat it

Blast your rocks with a turkey baster and get cerith snails.

I had some top crown snails that mowed down that kinda stuff in my aquarium, I liked them

or you could get a lawnmower blenny mine eats it all the time..so do starfish..

lawnmowers aren't for beginners imo
