Help!!!! when i woke up, my frog stuck in my filter near where it sucks up the water- it's leg was stuck in the filter!!!! I had to turn off the filter.since I already lost a frog to this before- and im going to a hockey game of mine in about 10 mins. any idea how to save fish for 1-3 hours? Can I safely turn off my filter? thanks for any ideas


Now ive got only 5 minutes at tops please help!!!!!

Well, you next move should be how to get this not to happen again.
What kind of frog do you have? What kind of filter? Any information we could have would allow us help you prevent this...
 
AFRICAN DWARF FROG. WE used a nylon sock to protect the frog from the filter. Turns out the "edumacated":sim: frog likes wedging itself behind the filter.....
which is why it got sucked up i guess but now its safe and now once again wedged between the filter and glass. we are going to get a sleeve ASAP.
 
if you can turn down the volume of the filter so it doesn't suck so fast, froggies will be able to break free of the suction.

proof that ADFs arent the quickest neons in the school :D

a sponge over the intake is also a great idea and it also allows for some more biological and mechanical filtration.
