Help with setting up a marine tank

Iv got an empty tank atm and im wondering what to do with it. i quite fancy settin gup a marine tank. how difficult is it to do? does it have to be a large tank? is it expensive? my LFS sells freshwater fish, is it only certain type of fish that live in marine tanks??? thanks in advance

Yes, only saltwater fish live in marine tanks. Setting up a marine tank isn't difficult but does involve more work than a typical freshwater system. I'd suggest reading up on saltwater aquariums, look at the different types of systems (Fish only, Live rock, Reef), decide what you can afford and research compatible fish for the set-up you'd like to try.
