this is my first time using my new python water changer..... i have it hooked up to the faucet but don't know how to get the suction working so i can do a water change while i clean the gravel from the faucet. any help would be great!

i bought all the pieces for it separately from big als because i didn't want a 75 foot one so maybe i don't have it hooked up right? because the water was flowing through the hose and emptying into the tank.

Pull down the green Python faucet and turn it to the left I believe it is (it should have the words 'fill' and 'drain' on the side, with arrows). Then turn on your water so it goes right through the Python faucet. Also make sure the clamp on the hose, which is a couple feet from the vacuum part, is switched to ON so the water will go through it.

Edited to add- you can change the water flow by turning the black dial near the end of the hose by the sink.

Without being conditioned? I'd add some chlorine conditioner ASAP.

Also be sure that the faucet is turn on all the way. The first time I did it I slowing turned it on and water was flowing down the tube anyway.

thanks everyone i figured it out. i put the dechlorinator in the tank while i put the water back in the tank after cleaning.... is that okay?
