Help!

So i am getting kind of bored with my tanks right now. I want to get rid of my cichlids in my 26 gal. But my mom says that they are cool and i should keep them. How should i convince her that i want to change? What should i do with my tank? What could i put in it? Thanks!

I really think you should keep them, too. Fish are living things and you should respect that; you wouldn't just "get rid" of a golden retriever because you got bored with it and wanted a German Shepard.

Well they are all either under an inch or less than an inch.

Get sand! I did that with my tank and it looks great. Back when I had cichlids they would dig in it and have fun.
