Hi,
I've seen some Hemichromis sp. Muanda on sale in my LFS and am wondering whether they will be OK in a 200 l. tank with some Pelv. taeniatus.

Does anyone have any experience with these Hemichromis? I gather they are pretty rare.

Thanks,
Mike.

i think someone's pulling your leg.

do they have an accompanying "rare" price? :D

i'm not the most experienced with this, but they look like twins to the fairly common "hemichromis bimaculatus". i could be wrong, but try websearching that type and draw your own conclusions. make sure you find the ones in "breeding colors".

as far as compatability, the water parameters look about right, but hemichromis might be more aggressive. bimaculatus definately are......

good luck

The P. taeniatus will probably be killed if their behavior is anywhere near that of reg kribs and the bahavior of the bimaculatus's behavior is anywhere near that of the reg jewel cichlid.
