Here's my tank so far...

UNless fish can swim in air... and I still have to cycle it... Going to go pick up a python today and fill it up. Is it okay if I let the water sit. Just for looks right now? So I can maybe get a fill for it... and then maybe cycle it a few days later?

A nice start.

I would probably get a themometer that goes inside the tank

Oh, well I saw the strip and figured that was it

Do you have another tank runnin with a filter on it already? Put an extra sponge in there, leave it for a few days, then transfer it to you new tank. Since the established tank already has the beneficial bacteria, blamo, instantly cycled tank. :D Of course don't try stockin it a full bioload right from the start...slowly start it out. Or if you have two filters on one of your tank, put one of the filters on the new tank with the new filter. The bacteria from the already established filter will seed your new one. MUCH faster!
