Here's my Water Garden !

Moss wall is very easy to make. You can use anything that is denser than water, so it will sink. For instance, over here I'm using a plastic plate. From there, I simply take a thin layer of moss, then use cotton string to tie it down by coiling round and round the plate. Soon, the moss will grow out.

Some people simply staple the moss only a styrofoam board. Some use metal grids, like what you use for BBQ.
 
WOW! I love the Japanesse Garden look! This is probably one of the favorite planted tanks I have ever seen. Stunning! Just WOW!
 
In response to various comments, I have added a piece of driftwood with some spiky moss tied to it. I will post picture tomorrow, so do check back!

And ... my shrimps are dead again. I think its been 30 shrimps now.... all dead... . Sigh.
 
I got my CO2 from Nature Aquarium here in Singapore. Years ago, where the Co2 cost was prohibitive, I used the DIY bottles, but it was such a hassle. I'm thoroughly enjoying the CO2 I have now, and its so cheap these days.

I've added driftwood yesterday with spiky moss tied to it. I have mixed feelings of the driftwood... its does not seem to integrate with the design of the tank. ANd its was very pricey. $15 a piece. What do u think ?

The aquarium design has deviated from what I intended it to be... a grassy plain.

This is my first post. Just got a 29 gallon tank set up - my first tank in like 6 years.

Just wanted to say if you want some drift wood, best place to get drift wood...just go to a lake and you'll have a pretty much infinite selection and its free. Biggest selection you could imagine. Look up how to treat it before you put it in the tank...and you're set.
