i added mulch to the tank and that raised the humdity alot and now their motre active, i also added 2 more extra shells making 3 empty total, all 3 are different styles, some are rounder add swirl more some are londer and bulkier, ill let him choose what he wants

www.landhermitcrabs.com and www.hermitcrabassociation.com are very good forums for peoplewith land hermit crabs. i was member of both until i stopped needing to go there. If ur interested u could try a land/ marine hermit crab cohabiting talk. a large 55 gallon, with some plexi glass for the divider. with some live rock, u could make a tide pool- like area and house your land hermit crabs w/ some marine creatures. i've tried it, but too much maintainence is required weekly. so i seperated the two groups into their own tanks after about 5 months.
