I'd like to add a cichlid (don't have too much experience with these guys) to my tank and didn't get much feedback from the thread with the same name (except that I shouldn't). What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

You wll get the same answer here that you receved there. I would highly suggest you take the advice you received from the Cichlid area as that is what your question is pertaining to.

Just to add I have looked at the other thread and they are correct. Keep in mind most Cichlids are somewhat aggressive twords other fish and tend to prefer larger tanks.
