Hey Reef.... PC Question

If you can get on your other computer, we can jump into the chat room that Tom made to see if we can work through this rather than waiting for messages to pop up.

Are you trying to move everything from your old HD to the new HD? Cuz if you are, then see if you can add the new HD as a slave so that once you start your OS up, you can just copy what you need and install the OS onto the new HD. My brother and I do this whenever we need to transfer a lot of MP3s since our router can get hard to use all the time.

ok, so what I did last night wasI replaced the HD again, I redid the whole bios thing where I made the CR-ROM the first startup thing (sorry for my non-PC language ;) ) and still the floppy disk error. So, I tried disconnecting the A:drive all together and removing it from the startup list in bios, I got a little further but still got a message that something was now wrong with the A:drive...... *sigh*

(Nikko..... I was thinking of doing that but am clueless about how to hook both drivs onto the PC at once......thanks for the thought ;))

Somewhere in the BIOS(couldn't tell you exactly where in that dell bios) there will be a 'Halt On' option. Change that to 'none'(or something similar).
