I can't wait. Tomorrow night can't come fast enough. I am taking my 14 year old nephew. He's excited me? I'm insane. This is it the one I have been waiting for.
I hope that the movie high lasts though. I will get home around 3am onlyto have to getup at 6am to take my wife to her final ultrasound before the baby is born.
If the high lasts I will make it no problem. If not boy is it going to be a long day thursday.

Well.
I have now seen the movie twice.
Last night and this afternoon. The first time is to see it and the second was to get into the story and effects. It is a great movie.
One thing I noticed from talking to other people that have seen it that there are a lot of scenes and points that seem almost not complete. I didn't really understand until I asked if they had read the novel. I have. They haven't
I seemed to enjoy it more because of that. In allot of the scenes the novel went into alot more detail and explaination about what was going on. So when I was watching it on the screen I knew what points were being made and why they were done the way they were.
Some of the others I went with didn't.
One thing that I really didn't like was some really important parts from the novel were editied out. I understand that the movie can't be 4 hours long but there really was some scenes that could have been removed instead to keep some others in. But hey no movie can be perfect which is also why we have extended dvd's.
Overall just a fantastic movie. Worth the $10 even with Hayden Christisans absolutely brutal acting. The rest of the cast, the story and the effects really carried him. The only downside is that Hayden makes Darth Look like a whiney. if I don't get my way I'm taking my ball and I'm going home brat.
I will be seeing it a few more times though. 8 out of 10 well worth the wait and a good way to close up the series.
Now if Lucas would just go away and let someone else film the final 3 of the series all would be perfect. I'm not picky either it could be the Thrawn Trilogy series or even The New Jedi Order either or would be fine with me.

Well I'm glad I heard that from you SmD, cause I heard a really bad review on 680 news, bad enough that I didn't want to go. So now I'm going to catch the matinee tomorrow with my son.
I think you're right, the extended version will fill in a lot of the gaps and it really helps to read the book before hand, like Lord of the Rings.
