Hikari Mega-Tropical food

Hello,
Anyone use Hikari Mega-Tropical?
I started feeding it to my fish and they only eat the bloodworms (the red stuff), but there's these white looking things (the look like maggots to me)and none of them touch the stuff. What ARE those white thingies?

3 panda cory
1 ADF
5 mystery snails

I have tried it....none of my fish bother with it at all (and I have a lot of fish)...even the usually piggy cichlids and cats.
