Heyas all. Just started putting together my first tank. Got a good deal on a 55 gallon from a coworker and had always wanted to start one so finally did. Right now I only have 2 Goldfish that my kids got at the county fair and 4 Guppies in it with a piece of driftwood and a rock and a few fake plants but eventually plan to get a school of some sort 2 Angels and 2 German Blue Rams. Will try to get a pic of what I have so far up.

Welcome to AC! Do you plan on going completely coldwater with those goldies, or to tropical with the angels?

Right now the water temp is 80-82 degrees so that I can get the tropicals in with no problems and the goldfish didn't seem to mind when I took the temp up just took it from the 75 degrees it was ambient to the 81 or so over the course of about a week and a half.

Had one of the guppies die on me this morning not sure what happened to it. I didn't see anything wrong with it last night and the only difference this morning is part of it's tail was gone. My wife thinks the goldfish did it but I don't think so.
