HOB gassing off Co2?

Hey, I just bought a new HOB for really cheap (Tetra Whisper 30 for only 13 bucks!), and with the new GPH, I was wondering if my DIY c02 is just getting gassed off.


Would this affect my Co2 level (I also add excel), as I notice my pH isn't at 7.2 anymore...

Any agitation of the water will have an impact on water off-gassing.

Is it possible that I am gassing it off to the point that DIY co2 and excel is serving no purpose?

excel cant gas off its a liquid. its possible best bet is to keep the tank topped off at all time.

I suggest maybe submersing the HOBs output... less give off.. excel will probably stay tho
