Ok all, have a few simple questions, today I recived my 5 blue green chromis (and was suppose to recive my bicolor blenny, but he's still on backorder, so i canceled him) so I didnt get the blenny, so I went to the LFS, Insearch of a blenny, and some Plankton for my feather dusters, I hope im doing the plankton right, Do I add it when the dusters are 'out'? or does it matter? since I didnt know I added it while they was sucked in, about 5 sec's later they came out, after being sucked in all day, so I figured I did something right.?

The Plankton im using is Kent Marine PhytoPlex Concentrated Aquacultured Marine Phytoplankton, I added a capeful for my 55 gallon, and everything seems right. Also Today I picked up a banded coral shrimp (He's BADASS!)

Ohh last but not least, is it ok to feed my chromis and my damsel the same flake food that I feed my freshies? the food is TetraMin Tropical Flakes (The rich Mix) I hope this is what I can feed them, ohh anything special I can put in for my mithrax crabs? they are always reaching for the fish, and one grabbed my banded shrimp.

Thanks

Feeding the PhytoPlex whenever is fine. IMO no it is not okay to feed saltwater fish flakes. The number one problem with flakes is the fish start to loose their vibrant colors. I feed frozen Formula One, Formula Two, Trigger Form, Spiralina Form, and occassionally Special Form VHP (Very High Protein). It will be okay for your current fish but far from ideal. Anyway, hope this helps.

Yep, don't use FW food for marine fish. Wrong fatty acids, which will ultimately cause metabolic problems.

The dusters feed on very, very small plankton, in the range of bacteria. I don't know if phytoplex has particles small enough, but the worms should be OK if you have an active reef generating germs, debris and eggs.
