Hornwort

Dumb questions:

If I just snip off a branch, will it grow?
Some of the branches fell off as i was putting it in the tank, one floated and one sank to the bottom. Which is liable to grow?
One of my hornwort bunches has some bud-like things on one branch, this is new growth, right?

you could cut a 5" piece into 5-6 sections and everyone of them would grow into a new plant.
