I had to move one of my angels in to my 30 gall with my other 2 mated pair. Yesterday I came home to the mated male having the crap kicked out of him by the other angel. I quickly removed the attacker and put him into my 55. The mated males fins are riped, one of his retina is ruptured, the other eye has a small amount of blood and a small amount of his gill is gone. I rushed out to get some meds and started treatment. Will he be ok? He looks like hes responding to the meds. hes swimming now but hes not eating. I dont know if he can see the food. :help:

These circumstances unfortunately fit under the "only time will tell" scenario. Secondary infection could occur, you said you have treated for that but not specifically what you have used.. even so, it's hard to say what will happen. Not to say you are doing anything wrong, I'm just saying that it is hard to say if everything will be ok..
When you say the retina is ruptured... this can only be determined under a microscope when the eye is completely removed. Do you really mean the cornea? Is the eye completely distroyed? In any case, I've seen fish recover from such an injury even without medication, not say yours will, but that is within my experience.

Keep an eye on your angel and keep the treatment up. He might improve with a little time, but if he's to really get better, he's gotta start eating.
Put some live food in his tank for him, something that moves about alot, like live blood worms or mosquito larvae. This will help determine if he can no longer see. Cause as we all know, angels love live food, so if he can see, he should go after the food.
From what I can gather though, he may only lose sight in one of his eyes, which shouldn't hinder him much at all.
I've got a catfish with only one eye (due to a overly aggressive tiger barb) and he's now nearly three years old.
As for the fins of your angel, they'll heal up. Might be scarred a bit, but not too bad.
Angelfish are pretty **** tough little buggers to my knowledge, so I'd say it take a fair bit to knock one of them, even if it is another angelfish.

keep the water very clean..do not bump temp..keep the light low as this wil help reduce stress.
bumping temp is fine for parasites but for not for infection.
use of pimafiix and melafix are fine..but watch for infection and be ready to use a more aggressive med if needed.
keep a close watchon the angels and feed sparingly.
remove all uneaten food so daily small water changes are in order.
