I had an episode of bloat in my African tank. Several L. leulupi and cylindricus died one after another in 2 to 3 weeks time frame from typical bloat symptom. I am waiting for the last sick fish to die off before replacing them. Only specific fish of specific species were affected but all other fish are doing fine, eating well and show no sign of infection. I read conflicting information on whether the desease is contageous and if so, how contageou it is? In my case, it is unlikely the environmental factor because the desease affects only one of several tanks of which I do regular water change the same manner.
