How do I safely dispose of snails?

Thank you all for your advice. I'm not certain of the method I'll use yet. I think, since I can't get a fish that will eat these guys, I'll just throw them out, bleach and rinse the tank really well, and sell it. 
My poor heart. I just feel bad killing the snails. But it is just a tank full of snails and I don't want it anymore.

Take a snail out one at a time, get a car battery and jumper cables. Hook up to snail, wait until smoke appears, repeat as nessesary.

whatever you do DO NOT RELEASE THE SNAILS INTO THE WILD.

I'm still looking for someone near me who has a snail problem, I want a bunch to start a breeding colony to feed my turtles. Throw some in a plastic bottle and mail it to me
