How do you cook steak?

16 oz sirloin cooked med-rare over an open wood fire. fricken amazing.
 
I let the hubby cook mine...turns out perfect every time!!
 
Reading this thread the other day provoked me to make a trip to the grocery store. I stole some ideas from here and should be enjoying my grilled steak in about an hour!
 
i try to cook it right, but i never do. aiming for medium-rare, i usually cook it too much on one side and then barely enough on the other. when i try to eat it, it's too rare in the middle, so then i throw it back in the pan for another minute and it's overcooked.

so i don't try anymore.
 
Soy sauce and garlic power as seasonings. Cooked over an apple-wood fire. The apple wood gives it a very unique flavor that compliments the seasonings.
