How do you cook steak?

Soy sauce and garlic power as seasonings.

That's how I cooked mine 2 nights ago. Soy sauce with a little bit of Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper and chili powder (by accident though- thought it was the cayenne... ).

Haha, we need to coordinate and have the first-annual AC steak cookoff. I'm not sure what the prize would be but I'm sure that there would be not shortage of volunteers for judges. Now I've gotta cook steaks this weekend. A couple of years ago, the local electric company had to take down a apple tree in our yard. Now I have a good supply of apple wood.

My choice of cut is the top sirloin. I turn up my grill as hot as possible, and put on a nice thick steak for 4 minutes per side. This way, it sears it quite a bit but leaves the inside nice and red.

I will say :

Fillet Steak - at least 1 inch thick

3 - 4 hrs before cooking crush garlic clove, wipe over each side

Place in plate : pour virgin olive oil over, salt and black pepper to taste (a fair bit) on each side.

Turn over after an hour and a half or so

Frying pan - med heat. Olive oil, chopped red onions, salt, pepper, clove of garlic (crushed). 5 -7 mins.

Remove Onions

High Heat, cook steaks to taste (rare or med/rare), both sides.

Remove steaks to oven pan. Preheated oven to 150. Allow steaks stand inside for 10 mins.

:)
